Delray Beach, Fla. — SMS Audio added two more notches to its list of high-profile partnerships this week, announcing it was teaming with both Marvel Entertainment and Reebok for officially licensed co-branded headphones.
The Marvel partnership will result in four co-branded on-ear wired SMS Audio headphones featuring Marvel characters. The headphones, which will be available in July, will have IPX4-rated water resistance, a folding design, a detachable cable with in-line mic, and a carrying case. Suggested retail will be $99.95.
The Reebok line, which will designate SMS Audio as the official fitness headphone licensee across Reebok’s global market, will be available in August. Further product details weren’t set at press time.
SMS Audio, which was founded by rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, announced in March it had become the official headphones of Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. It has also partnered with Intel for a line of biometric sport headphones.
