E FUN Adds Second Windows Tablet

West Covina, Calif. – Value-priced mobile-device maker E FUN launched its second Windows tablet at an everyday $149 at Walmart.com and plans a one-day Black Friday special price of $99 through the site and through Walmart’s brick-and-mortar stores.

As part of the Black Friday special price, the tablet will come with bonus 16GB microSD memory card.

After Black Friday, sales of the 8-inch Nextbook 8 tablet will cease through Walmart’s brick-and-mortar stores, but the device will roll out to SamsClub.com in December.

The tablet features 1280 by 800 capacitive touchscreen, Windows 8.1, Intel quad-core 1.83GHz Atom Z3735G processor, 16GB internal storage, and 64GB microSD card slot.

Other key features include4000mAh rechargeable Li-ion battery, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, front webcam, 2-megapixel back camera with microphone, micro USB port, mini HDMI port, three-axis g-sensor, and a one-year subscription to Microsoft Office 365 Personal with 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage and 60 Skype world minutes per month.

Last month, E FUN announced mid-November availability of what it called the industry’s first Windows two-in-one tablet retailing for less than $200. The $179 10.1-inch Nextbook tablet with detachable keyboard was scheduled for mid-November availability at Walmart stores nationwide and Walmart.com, followed by December availability at SamsClub.com.

E FUN entered the North American market in late 2010 and became the fifth largest supplier of tablets by units during 2013 for the full year, IDC said. E FUN also offers home automation devices and wearables.
