Voxx Electronics Launches Run The Gamut

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. — New 12-volt products rolled out by Voxx Electronics range from its first DUB Edition audio products under the Jensen brand to a new advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) and its first HDMI-equipped video systems.

The DUB Edition line of car audio amps, speakers and subwoofers are targeted to urban youth and were developed in partnership with automotive lifestyle brand DUB.

The Jensen DUB Edition line will be part of DUB magazine events, including custom car showcases, DUB Live events, and the national DUB Show Tour. DUB Live events are staged at U.S. military bases, community festivals, major auto shows, sporting events and concerts.

Four DUB Edition amps are priced from a suggested $99 to $229. Four two-way speakers and a three-way speaker are priced from $49 to $89, and two subs are priced at $99 and $129.

In video, the company is rolling out its first four systems with HDMI/MHL inputs to display the content of connected smartphones and tablets.

Two are overhead monitors with built-in DVD players. The Advent-branded ADVEXL10 and Audiovox-branded VODEX L10 both retail for a suggested $529 and feature 10.1-inch display. They’re available.

A third video system is the $1,699 Audiovox-brand HR7012D custom headrest monitor with 7-inch LED backlit monitor and built-in DVD. And the $449 Audiovox Movies2 Go AVXMTG13UHD overhead monitor features 13.3-inch LED backlit display.

The headrest and Movies2 Go unit will be available early September.

In ADAS, the company began shipping the $199-suggested DVR 700 dashboard event video recorder, which mounts on the windshield behind the rear view mirror.

It’s the first ADAS product to ship from Voxx through a distribution agreement with Guangdong Steelmate Security Co. Voxx has an option to distribute select products under the Steelmate brand “should marketing needs or channel management dictate it,” Voxx noted.

The agreement will “allow us to bring additional products into our newly introduced advanced driver assistance system line,” said Voxx Electronics president Tom Malone.

Separately, Voxx Electronics expanded distribution of its latest telematics product, the $169-suggested Car Connection Pro, to authorized dealers and expeditors nationwide.
