CES 2020 is filled with an increasingly dizzying array of new digital products. To provide some order to this chaos of digital tech, Living In Digital Times (LIDT) is presenting a series of marketplaces, sessions, and conference tracks at the Sands and Venetian to help show attendees put these new digital technologies and products into context.
Founded by veteran journalist and author Robin Raskin, the LIDT program is designed to bring together industry and category thought leaders, innovators, and the latest technologies that impact people’s lifestyles. The program consists of 305 exhibitors, five conference tracks, and three events.
An overarching theme for this year’s LIDT conference is “Who ya gonna trust?”—which deals with the increasing concerns about privacy, security, and ethics for both financial and health data.
Topics covered in the all-day conference tracks in the Venetian Level 4 Lando rooms, which consist of several panel discussion sessions and are designed to complement exhibits on the show floor, include:
- Digital Money Forum (Tuesday, Jan. 7, Lando 4302)
- Digital Health Summit (Tuesday, Jan. 7, and Wednesday, Jan. 8, Lando 4305)
- Wearable Tech Summit (Wednesday, Jan. 8, Lando 4302)
- Kids@Play/Family Tech Summit (Thursday, Jan. 9, Lando 4302)
Show floor LIDT exhibit areas at the Sands include Baby Tech, Fitness & Technology, Sleep Tech, Health & Wellness, Kids & Technology, Family & Technology, Wearables, and Digital Money Marketplace.
The LIDT program caps off with three events: Last Gadget Standing, which crowns a “best of show” device (Thursday, Jan. 9, 10:30 a.m., LVCC N257); Young Innovators to Watch, honoring innovators under the age of 20 (Thursday, Jan. 9, 3:30 p.m., Venetian Level 4, Lando 4302); and the KAPi (Kids at Play) awards (Thursday, Jan. 9, 4:30 p.m., Lando 4302).
