Nationwide Marketing Group Welcomes Rob Stott As Manager of Corporate Communications

Stott tasked with developing new programming initiatives

Nationwide Marketing Group recently announced that Rob Stott, former editorial director for CT Lab Global Media, has joined the group as manager of corporate communications.

“Storytelling has been the one constant throughout my career, and it’s where I find I’m most passionate,” said Stott in a statement. “During my time writing about the retail trade, I’ve had the opportunity to grow close to Nationwide and its members, and the work they do has always left me impressed. I’m thrilled for the opportunity to join the Nationwide team and share even more stories from this incredible organization.”

Stott is tasked with leading the production of Independent Thinking, Nationwide’s member magazine, and to develop new programming initiatives that broaden the organization’s communications efforts in addition to managing public relations and social media for Nationwide.

“Rob has always been a vocal advocate for the independent retailer,” said Tom Hickman, Nationwide’s president and chief member advocate in a statement. “And through his in-depth coverage of PrimeTime, and of the independent channel in general, he has shown that he truly understands what makes this industry tick. Rob’s talent and expertise will allow us to continue highlighting the exceptional work of our members and vendors in innovative and engaging new ways. We are very excited to welcome him to the team.”

Stott is a 2010 graduate of Duquesne University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. Upon graduation, Stott worked as an editorial assistant for the American Society of Association Executives in Washington, D.C., before joining CT Lab.
