InMusic, the company that includes such brands as Akai Professional, Denon DJ and Denon Professional, Ion Audio, M-Audio and Marantz Professional under its umbrella, announced the appointment of Patrick Sullivan as president.
Sullivan joins from Guitar Center Corp., most recently serving as merchandising VP and overseeing live sound, recording, keyboard, DJ, consumer electronics and software business divisions across all channels and properties. This included Guitar Center Stores, Musicians’ Friend, M123.com and WWBW.com, as well as its B2B division of pro audio and visual design install resellers.

He had been with Guitar Center since 2003, during which the technology merchandising division expanded its category portfolio, re-imagined the in-store interactive merchandising experience, and co-designed the promotional marketing activity, according to InMusic.
In his new role, Sullivan will lead InMusic’s the company’s 16 brands, reporting to CEO Jack O’Donnell.
