Accessory manufacturer Zagg announced it has named Chris Ahern president of its Mophie brand.
Ahern, who previously served as president of the international business unit, will be tasked with product solutions, global distribution and global operations. He will report to Randy Hales, CEO of Zagg.
Ahern joined Zagg as managing director for the international business unit in 2014, and was promoted to president of the international business unit in June 2016. He led the integration of the Zagg and Mophie international teams after the 2016 Mophie acquisition. Prior to Zagg, Ahern held positions with Dell.
Hale had been serving as interim president, taking over for Shawn Dougherty in November 2016.
“I couldn’t be happier to announce Chris Ahern’s new role within our company,” said Hales. “Chris has demonstrated great leadership by taking one of our least-profitable business units and turning it into a highly profitable division in a short period of time. His approach to the business will be critical to its continued growth. He has my utmost confidence in that regard.”
In addition to Mophie, Zagg also has the InvisibleShield and iFrogz brands under its umbrella.
