Hauppauge, N.Y. — Voxx International announced it is teaming with Ford for Voxx’s Code Systems brand of remote starters.
Under the agreement, Code Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Voxx, will provide Ford Custom Accessories with a dealer-installed version of its remote-start and keyless entry smartphone app and hardware.
The device will be available for 2011 and newer F-150, Super Duty, Edge, Explorer and Lincoln MKX vehicles, and with 2013 or newer Taurus, Flex, Lincoln MKS or Lincoln MKT vehicles. Voxx said more vehicles are being planned.
The app, which will be Android and iPhone compatible, will let consumers remotely lock, unlock and start their vehicles. There will be a $49.99 yearly service fee.

Lavelle noted that Voxx has provided Ford with vehicle security for almost 25 years and with remote start for 13.
