Audeze has revealed it has brought head tracking to its popular Maxwell headset with the release of Immerse Virtual Studio PRO. Created in partnership with spatial audio company Embody, Immerse Virtual Studio PRO brings virtual production to a wider audience, allowing any engineer to perfect their mix.
The real-time binauralization takes advantage of Maxwell’s 90MM planar magnetic drivers and head-tracking utilizing hardware already inside every Audeze Maxwell. This announcement also builds on the recent update enabling head tracking for Maxwell users within the Dolby Atmos Renderer.
“This is the next step in our long term relationship and collaboration with Embody” stated Audeze CEO Sankar Thiagasamudram. “We are striving to create more ready-made spatial audio solutions that take advantage of Maxwell’s built-in hardware” he added.
Immerse Virtual Studio PRO allows users to reference all audio formats including stereo, surround, Apple Music, or Atmos at the click of a button. Leveraging personalized HRTF technology, it delivers accurate height, depth-of-field, and crosstalk, recreating the Dolby Atmos studios of A R Rahman and Alan Meyerson with fully accurate acoustic and signal chain virtualization. More information about Immerse Virtual Studio PRO can be found here. Both Maxwell models (Xbox and Playstation) will be compatible with Virtual Studio PRO.
