The PC industry’s first 17-inch two-in-one convertible Windows laptop is among six new Inspiron two-in-one laptops unveiled by Dell at Computex in Taiwan, Microsoft announced.
All six of the convertible two-in-ones come with touchscreen display and secure Windows Hello login via optional or standard built-in infrared cameras. A 360-degree hinge delivers four modes: laptop mode, tent mode for presentations, stand mode for playing movies, and tablet mode.
The 17-inch Inspiron 17 7000 two-in-one is part of a 7000 series that also includes a 13-inch model and a 15-inch model. The 17-inch model starts at $1,049 and features Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit architecture, sixth-generation Intel Core processor, up to 12GB RAM, up to 512GB solid-state drive (SSD), 1TB hard drive in select configurations in addition to SSD, 17.3-inch 1090p LED-backlit touchscreen display and standard IR camera.
All of the new 7000 series models also feature USB Type C.
The Inspiron 13, 15 and 17 7000 two-in-ones will be available beginning June 2 on Dell.com in the U.S. The series starts at $749.
The other new two-in-ones are the 11-inch Inspiron 11 3000 starting at $249 and the Inspiron 13 and 15 5000 two-in-ones starting at $529. They’ll also be available June 2 at Dell.com.
Dell also unveiled the 15- and 17-inch Inspiron 5000 series laptops, due later this year.
