Long Beach, Calif. — JVC Mobile Entertainment launched new dealer-focused support and training programs and a new consumer-rebate program.
The company also said it plans soon to introduce more consumer buying programs to promote additional sell-through at retail.
“Our focus this year is to engage and support the JVC Mobile Entertainment network of dealers and retail salespersons so they can raise awareness, branding and excitement about the brand at the store level,” said Jacob Hardin, national marketing and training manager.
For the new consumer-rebate program, JVC launched a $50 rebate on qualifying in-dash AV multimedia head units, including its HDMI/MHL-equipped KW-V30BT and KW-V50BT receivers. The offer extends to all end users who purchase an eligible receiver through July 31.
To support dealers, the company last week turned on its JVC Mobile Backstage online training website, which offers product-line education to JVC Mobile retailers. Salespeople register and take online training courses on products, technologies and other topics, then receive JVC apparel and other items upon course completion. More modules and training topics will be added in the future.
The company also launched a dealer-accommodation program for its KW-V50BT and KW-V30BT in-dash HDMI /MHL multimedia receivers, enabling salespeople to purchase demo units for their own vehicles at a discount. The program is designed to encourage first-hand experience with the receivers “to increase comfort level and knowledge of these products when demonstrating their new iPhone and Android smartphone integration technology solutions to customers,” the company said.
Also, JVC launched a new product resource website offering printable in-store materials, images and product specifications, and a new dealer-support phone hotline offers extended hours to offer more technical support to installers.
The company also said it had on-site presences at more than 20 retailer, distributor and trade events to date this year, including the Pacific Northwest Consumer Electronics Expo and Midwest Consumer Electronic Expo for retailers. JVC was also on site in Troy, Mich., at R&D Distributing’s Rock the House event and in Houston at the Eagle Distributors’ 12-Volt Expo, the company said.
