Hauppauge, N.Y. — Voxx Electronics began shipping its 2014 Prestige vehicle-security and remote-start systems, which double the operating range up to 2,500 feet in some models and feature smaller control modules for easier installation in tight places.
The line also features what Voxx called “some of the slimmest transmitters in the market.”
All-new transmitter designs include some of the industry’s thinnest at 0.38 inches. Besides boosting range, the new systems provide improved performance and programming enhancements, such as web-based programming to save time, the company said.
The new control modules are 35 percent smaller than before.
The lineup includes the following security and remote-start combo systems:
–APS997E two-way LCD remote system with up to 2,500-foot range at a suggested $529;
–APS922E two-way LCD remote system with up to 1,000-foot range at $399; and
–APS787E one-way remote system with up to 2,500-foot range at $299.
The line’s remote-start and keyless-entry systems are the:
–APS687E one-way system with up to 2,500-foot range at $259;
–APS57E one-way system with up to 1,500-foot range at $239; and
–APS622E one-way system with up to 1,000-foot range at $179.
The remote-start-only systems are the:
–APS901E one-way system with up to 1,500-foot range at $239 and
–APS422E one-way system with up to 1,000-foot range at $179.
In security systems, Prestige offers the:
–APS596E two-way LCD system at $399;
–APS510E deluxe system at $269;
–APS25E standard system at $169; and
–APS122E standard system at $149.
