Hunter Douglas has announced new options for two of its most popular shade styles. Silhouette Halo Shadings, along with new fabric and hardware options for Luminette Privacy Sheers, provide additional customization and design opportunities for custom integrators through the Hunter Douglas portfolio.
The new multi-functional Silhouette Halo Shadings prioritize ambiance and privacy, combining the distinctive design of the flagship Silhouette style with practical enhancements. Silhouette Halo Shadings retain the style’s innovative S-shaped fabric vanes, positioned between two sheers, to create a soft radiance throughout a room. For more flexible movement and natural lighting control, Silhouette Halo is designed with dual-layered fabric vanes that can over-rotate to precisely redirect sunlight. This feature enhances UV protection for furnishings, eliminates harsh shadows and optimizes comfort and privacy at any time of day.
Distinctly designed to diffuse light into a soft glow, Luminette Privacy Sheers feature vertical panels with fully integrated vertical vanes to provide UV protection, comfort and privacy. The sheers merge the functional benefits of blinds with stunning, dynamic design, making them particularly suitable for sliding doors or large panes of glass. The latest Luminette release boasts improved hardware that enables shades to traverse while vanes are partially tilted and grants homeowners easier, more granular control over shade position.
“Hunter Douglas has a rich history of innovating best-in-class shade designs, and now we’re excited to supplement that legacy by helping integrators deliver whole-home connectivity. When coupled with the newly redesigned PowerView system, integrators can confidently specify and scale smart shading solutions that meet the aesthetic, functional and lifestyle needs of any project they land,” said Scott Stephenson, Senior Director of Product, Global Motorization at Hunter Douglas.
These updates join several major enhancements across the full Hunter Douglas smart shade portfolio, including the launch of PowerView Gen 3 Automation earlier this year. Gen 3 enables simple-to-install, reliable and scalable automation for over 20 shade styles. Complementing this release, Hunter Douglas also expanded its library of control drivers, introduced new power options including an internal rechargeable battery, and released dozens of new fabrics across its collection. All these updates further enable integrators to maximize the category for the benefit of both their business and their clients.
Custom integrators looking to add Hunter Douglas to their product mix can join the Custom Integrator Program, which provides multiple levels of support to help dealers find success in the automated shading category. Dealers that are part of the program can explore the latest offerings from Hunter Douglas and take advantage of sales, training and installation support on The Link.
