Scosche signed a licensing deal with Rockstar, the energy-drink maker, to put the Rockstar brand on consumer technology products, including Bluetooth speakers, car accessories, and car audio products.
Rockstar-branded products from Scosche will appear later this year.
The two brands share common demographics, said Scosche EVP Kas Alves. Rockstar energy drinks and Scosche products “are designed for people who lead active lifestyles, from athletes to rock stars,” he said. The companies share a consumer base “interested in action sports, motor sports, live music and more,” he added.
To go with the licensing agreement, Scosche entered into an agreement to be a sponsor of Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Supercross and Pro Motocross factory racing. Scosche said the sponsorship will take its “current presence in the action/extreme sports arena to new heights.”
Scosche will also team up with Rockstar Performance Garage on a number of custom vehicle-build projects and event tours in 2016.
Last year, Scosche signed a deal with Realtree, the designer of camo-pattern products, to design a rugged outdoor Bluetooth speaker called boomBOTTLE H20.
