Shoppers using Amazon’s Alexa-enabled devices got a leg up on the Black Friday rush this weekend.
To help promote its personal digital assistant, the No. 1 e-tailer offered a slew of exclusive discounts to Prime customers who shopped via voice.
The sale prices are in effect through today, while supplies last.
The query, “Alexa, what are your deals?” brings forth some of the following offers, which are valid when placing the order orally:
*Amazon Tap for $80, a $50 savings;
*a 32-inch Samsung 1080p LED TV for $119;
*$15 off a Philips Hue LED starter kit with two bulbs and Hue bridge hub; and
*$80 off Beyerdynamic’s limited edition headphones.

Orders can be place through Amazon’s proprietary Echo, Echo Dot, Tap, Fire HD tablet or Fire TV devices by saying “Alexa, order a …,” and purchases of $10 or more made now through Cyber Monday (Nov. 28) will also earn a $5 Amazon gift card.
“This is the first holiday that Prime members will be able to use their voice to shop and we’re excited to offer exclusive deals they won’t find anywhere else,” said Assaf Ronen, Amazon’s VP of voice shopping. “Voice shopping with Alexa takes the hassle out of the holidays, giving customers the ability to order from millions of items simply by saying the word.”
