Target is gearing up for the holiday season, aiming to hire 125,000 seasonal workers across the nation for their stores, with all positions starting at $13 an hour or more. Additionally, 8,000 seasonal team members are to be hired for 39 distribution and fulfillment centers across the country.
“We’re so excited to start welcoming our new seasonal hires, and give them opportunities to train and prepare with the rest of our team as we head into the busy holiday season,” says Melissa Kremer, chief human resources officer in a statement. “Getting an early start with those preparations made a big difference for us last year, and it’s a great way to get the entire Target team pumped up for the most fun and exciting time of the year.”
The fourth annual seasonal hiring event at every Target store takes place Oct. 11-13 and Nov. 2-3, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time. Candidates can stop in at any store to meet with store leaders and interview on the spot with the chance to receive a job offer during the weekend events. Those interested in a distribution role can reach out to their local distribution center with questions. Interested parties unavailable on those dates can also apply for the available roles at TargetSeasonalJobs.com.
