Bond Smart Platform Now Incorporates Scenes, Bringing Control to Different Devices at Once

“Scenes unlocks the ability to operate many devices with a single voice command, without the need to manage complex Routines,” says Bond Home Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer Chris Merck.

Cresskill, NJ – August 27, 2024 – Bond (CEDIA Expo 2024, booth #4109) has added Scenes functionality to its Bond Home Platform. The Bond Bridge Pro RF-to-WiFi gateway and accompanying Bond Home App (iOS and Android) bring unified, intuitive control to devices. This includes motorized indoor/outdoor shades and screens, awnings, pergola louvers, and ceiling fans, plus now outdoor landscape lighting, and heating and cooling. Scenes allow for control of these different devices at once.

Users can design Scenes that prepare for specific activities in the home with just one tap.

Previously this would have required many taps in the App to achieve.

Users can run Scenes with a single tap, schedules, or by its name with voice assistants.

Scenes also drastically reduces the popcorn effect (i.e., shades not coordinated) when controlling multiples.

Scenes unlocks the ability to operate many devices with a single voice command, without the need to manage complex Routines, says Bond Home Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer Chris Merck.

“And, for select shade technologies that move together in Groups, users can now move them together with voice by including the Group in their Bond Scene, something which just wasn’t possible previously with our Alexa and Google Home integrations.”

Bond offers the Bond Bridge, Bond Bridge Pro, Sidekick for Shades, and new for 2024 are the Breeze Pro wind/rain/sun smart sensor and Firefly One LED outdoor lighting dimmer control. Scenes interacts with all these solutions and is supported by Alexa, Control4, Crestron, Savant, ELAN, and others.
