Las Vegas, NV – CES 2019, Sands Booth #40540 – January 7, 2019 – FIBARO, a leading global manufacturer of wireless intelligent home automation and control devices, today announces the FIBARO Home Center App, the central interface that enables customers to fully control, manage, adjust, and experience their FIBARO smart home system. Available today for free to FIBARO Home Center 2 and FIBARO Home Center Lite customers on iOS or Android, the Home Center App leverages machine learning and predictive analysis to make the management and control of the FIBARO smart home easier than ever before.
The FIBARO Home Center App amasses all of the connected devices installed throughout the home into one easy to use interface and dashboard. Upon opening the app, the dashboard provides an at-a-glance summary and status of the home so customers can discern if everything within their home is operating normally or, if there are any problems such as a door ajar, light left on, water detected, etc., that require immediate attention. Users can access multiple operation profiles that dictate how the FIBARO smart home reacts and behaves based on if any of the registered users are at home, away, or if it is nighttime or daytime. The FIBARO Home Center App enables customers to easily switch between these operation profiles and will call out system anomalies based on which state the system is in.
The intelligently designed app features machine learning and predictive analysis to enhance the FIBARO smart home experience. This unique feature enables the FIBARO Home Center App to analyze data collected by devices and sensors installed within the home in addition to source data from outside the home – such as weather or calendar schedule – to make automation and scene suggestions based off user behavior and prominently display suggested devices that may require attention to streamline the smart home experience. As an example, if a user has left for work and accidentally left a lamp on, when that user checks their Home Center App, that lamp will be prominently displayed and notify the user of the abnormality, prompting the user to shut off the lamp from their app if they desire.
The FIBARO Home Center App aggregates all aspects of a customer’s FIBARO smart home system into one easy to use and easy to understand central interface. The app enables seamless views and transitions between favorite scenes, automations, individual devices and user-defined “rooms” which are groupings of devices synced together. At a glance, the Home Center App provides the status of the home and critical devices right from the dashboard; displaying the information users need in the moment to mitigate the amount of time spent sorting through the app while streamlining their smart home experience.
Leveraging the light sensor built into users smartphones, the Home Center App will automatically switch between a light blue, dark blue, or silver color scheme to reduce eye strain and improve viewing in lowlight conditions. While users are outside of the home, the Home Center App works remotely to connect back to the FIBARO smart home system and all connected devices within. When home, the Home Center App is capable of connecting with the FIBARO Home Center 2 or FIBARO Home Center Lite for localized control which allows users to monitor and control their system directly from the app even if connection to the internet has been lost.
“The FIBARO Home Center App has been meticulously designed to be the most powerful smart home companion app available to our customers to manage and control all aspects of their FIBARO system,” said Dominik Jęchorek, head of FIBARO sales of USA & Canada. “The launched app is the result of a decade or direct feedback collected by our customers and the information-rich dashboard coupled with the app’s ease of navigation provides users with the information they need in the moment to simplify and streamline their smart home experience.”
The FIBARO Home Center App is now available on Android and iOS devices and benefits from a single source code for both platforms to ensure a uniform experience regardless of the devices users choose to use to control their FIBARO smart home system. Through the introduction of the new Home Center App, the FIBARO Home Center 2 and Home Center Lite systems are compatible with today’s most popular voice assistants including Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri.
The FIBARO Home Center App has been named a CES® 2019 Innovations Awards Honoree in the Software and Mobile Apps category which is sponsored by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™.
